WELCOME

Welcome to Boone County Alpacas.

We began in April of 2003 with 1 unbred female and a gelded male. Our plan while slow is to grow strong and steady. Boone County Alpacas is currently raising "Suri" alpacas. While our herd is growing we currently have produced all Dark Crias: even one True Black named BCA Blackhawk.
All animals are for sale or fiber from them. We are located in North Central Illinois by the Illinois/Wisconsin border.
Belvidere is just minutes east of Rockford, IL and 1.5 hours west of Chicago.

While our main goal is to raise healthy alpacas that are good producers we do offer for sale Alpaca clothing products through our website this is a temporary way to fill time while our herd grows and not our full goal.
Elaine will be creating hand crocheted products for the late Fall/Winter season.
We look to teach people what the final product of the Alpaca is and stress that we are a No-Kill farm.

Through this website we hope not only to introduce alpacas to those who are curious but to do our part to educate all who visit this site and who we meet. Please take the time to view are site often to watch our growth. We will add photos of our Family, Farm and Alpacas as well as products for sale. We have added a links page where you can discover the World of Alpacas and all it holds.

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Supporting Our Troops wherever they serve!

For All the US Troops fighting and protecting our land, our families, our beliefs, our right to practice and talk about any religion we believe in. We ask and Pray that God watches over them and their families and is a shield between them and their enemies whoever and wherever they may be. God Bless All of You. With much admiration and heart felt gratitude for all you do and all you have given up to serve your countries call. And for all those who went and were wounded may God lay a healing hand upon you and those who give care to you. And for those who will not come home, These Are Not Forgotten! And we pray God blesses their families with many happy memories of good times.

Many say they understand, All 3 of our sons have served this country and for the past 10 years we have had our son Kenneth serving and continues to serve after receiving a Purple Heart in Iraq and now our youngest son Shaun has chosen to enlist and is in the US ARMY also. We do know what families are going through and yes we do support them and our sons.
